This smells quite dated to me. This is a basic, sweet vanilla that we adults can wear without feeling silly, though its not too grown up for teens. Does anyone remember the limited edition round shaped bottle of B&BW Warm Vanilla Sugar it was a perfume mist in 100mls size with a little charm on the lid in a gold box? This strongly reminds me of Vanilla Fields by Coty. The EDT is an amazing sweet vanilla that manages to not smell synthetic or like cakeJust a touch of coconut; just enough to round out the vanilla without crossing it into tropical territory. More of a burnt-sugar vanilla than a sexy vanilla cream (a la Victoria's Secret Vanilla Lace) or fresh vanilla (a la Vanilla Bean Noel). Its not as classy as the Black Currant Vanilla that B&B used to sell in their Aromatherapy line. the original vanilla vanilla by the Body Shop (like 7 years ago) was my fave plain vanilla scent but they have reformulated it and now it just smells too sweet and synthetic. Whats the difference between the Fragrance Mist and the EDT, and is Fragrance Mist the same as Body Spray? I was not dissapointed. I use the body lotion and it lingers nicely, like all day! I have the lotion and the body spray, but haven't tried the EDT. That smelt amAzing, so sad my bottle run out :'(, i love love love vanilla scent. I like this frag from B&B. I can't imagine anyone complaining about this body spray. Okay, but not great. Its too bad it didnt dispense - you probably could have either used it or sold it on ebay for $50. I haven't had this fragrance in a long time and I'm sure with time and reformulations it is not the same scent that I've known and loved. Men do seem to like this one and find it sexy. Such a simple memory of such a weird, tumultuous time. Sugar + rice if anything. I want the EDT on this one once my body spray runs out because it is so nice! Note from the submitter: This body wash was returned to my store during the Christmas rush and thanks to the lenient return policy, the customer got store credit. I can't hardly stop wearing it. LOVED the original scent from the late 90's. It's a very pleasant perfume, and it's not too strong. I have the small body spray version on me nearly 24/7 though, so I reapply every couple of hours. The original formula was a beautiful toasted brown sugar and vanilla cake scent .It had hints of coconut and was reminiscent of white rice. I remember hoarding the stuff at every semi-annual sale. Warm, cozy, sweet, and sexy. It isn't overly sweet which I was concerned about. Ahhh Warm Vanilla Sugar, one of the few great scents from the house of Bath and Body Works. I'm not sure if I will purchase again because the reviews on the latest release claim it smells more alcohol. it smells really delictable and the vanilla is not too sweet nor synthetic like the other 2 i mentioned. I disagree with all these negative reviews. I personally don't think its sexy..maybe sensual. I used about 5 or 6 sprays all over and it lasted at least 6 hours. I actually find this quite mature, but in a good way. I love the toasted sugar scent but it's very light and fades quickly and I thought maybe if I spray more it would last longer but nah. Then, it seemed roo light for me at night and I switched to hypnotic poison. This is a very nice fragrance, soft and non-offensive. It has new, improved packaging! I have always hated this one but I tried the perfume today and I actually like it, it doesn't smell as nasty as the lotion, smells like a winter vanilla. This fragrance smells just like vanilla and sugar. I got it as a white elephant gift, so it could have been worse. 5 out of 5 to the old one. Fresh baked cookies! The EDT spray layered with the body butter is enough to last me all day long, from morning to night, with good sillage the whole time. The name is a tad misleading. I love this scent!! soft wafts of clean powdery vanilla with a hint of coconut envelope the wearer, a mysterious appealing scent, never overpowering but teasing.pleasing.complimenting. My mum just bought me this in a body mist for Christmas. My younger sister passed this onto me, presumably because she didn't like it that much. i guess it's supposed to bring the sexy or mystery whatever but i don't like what it does to my mind. For me the coconut is strong, which gives it a little more intrigue than you'd otherwise expect. It stays with you for hours, it's simply a delight, one of the best vanillas for me out there. I remember even though the old label remained the same (the image with brown sugar cubes), the scent completely changed to something synthetic like a Warm Vanilla Sugar changeling. This smells great on me. i sprayed it on the back of my hand just to test it and when i woke up in the morning i could still smell it. Smells like cigarettes and garbage, heavy on the alcohol too. I also love to mix this scent with perfumes that may need a bit of sweetness added to it. Friendly, pretty lady vanilla scent that works best casually . I don't understand why this is so popular. I typically hate B&BW products. I'm so glad. This one, along with a few others, have been changed. Disappointing. One time somebody returned an old Country Apple Foam Burst, but it also didnt dispense. It lasts probably around 2 hours on me, but its understandable considering its a body mist after all. I plan on giving another bottle to my little sister since I don't really need so many (I bought a pack of 5 for cheap which is why I had 5 to begin with). This scent is pleasant even though I really only detect the vanilla. I have the body mist with the 2019 design, and I really love it! I'm not ashamed to admit it! I love this when I want something simple and sweet, but a little darker. This to me smells to friendly, too basic to be sexy..if I couldn't afford hypnotic poison I'd probably wear this at night. seriously, i usually love gourmand scent, but this is just sickeningly sweet and got me a headache everytime i wear it, i try to like it,but i cant, its just too sweet, smells like burnt sugar with coconut shaving.but yea.the guys give me compliments when i wear it,maybe cos the vanilla? Both scents are good, that Im sure of, its really hard to get mad at a lightly sugared warm cozy feeling vanilla. I never tried the old formula hence I can't compare my bottle's properties to the cult-favorite OG. The drydown is rich and sweet like a cuddle: sandalwood, musk and rice (my new favourite note)! very sweet but not sickly sweet to the point that its nauseating. It seems like something that would have universal appeal, but it smells like chemicals to me. The musk and sandalwood add a nice warm touch to the sugary vanilla. Epicene Gamma IFF: The Common Part of Spicy Men's Colognes of the 1980s.
It definitely does smell vanilla-ery. The lotion is even worse! If you think that name sounds familiar, its because BBW had a Pure Simplicity line back in 2003. I used to love this one!
