Went to warranty a ratchet and since I didn't have the receipt from who knows how many years ago they would only give me $8 credit which they said was the closeout price. Too many returns with no receipt. You knowi was kinda watching the race off and on yesterday and Jimmie Johnson's KOBALT Tools Chevy..I wonder If they really use Kobalt tools to work on their cars..? Your license was flagged due to the extremely high amount of theft they have. Thepole saws were soldfrom March 2017 through October 2019 for about $180. I've read many complaints about lowes and HD not honoring their lifetime tool warranties. 
Where's the profit in stealing something, then hauling it back in for a warranty replacement, and walking out the door with a different item that's exactly the same as the one you stole?

My .02I don't have many Kobalt tools..but took a ratchet back last year..no receipt.. But since my experience was different than the others on hereseems as they have no consistent policy? 
It records all my purchases. 
Regarding Harbor freight's warranty policy, I bought one of those ratchet and socket sets that was $4 with coupon and the ratchet stripped out (big surprise). Turn around and return it to another store for store credit. I don't think I've ever had to exchange a Kobalt product (I think I only own a couple that were gifts or free) Stop at returns and ask about kobalt warranty.
