That jeep is def coming along nicely, gonna check out this rubberized spray sounds like a good idea. Eastwood underhood was a good match with the correct satin finish. The Wurth's has a spongy feel to it and does not come off easliy with solvent like the cheaper stuff - it also spray better out of the can so you don't get a big mess all over the place. However there is some white paint that shows all the way around the wheel well just below the fenders back and front. I am wondering how these products stand up to rock impacts.

It is a tad bluer but with the engine in it is not as noticeable. It was also used to paint the mirrors, wiper arms and window trim, that stuff takes a lot of abuse from bugs and road debris. 01. It was a bummer, but when we had our 1965 Mustang painted the painter neglected to mask off the wheelwells, so Poppy Red paint drifted onto the old undercoating. Youd be surprised how Poppy Red overspray is visible in an otherwise black wheelwells, even with the wheels bolted up and the car on the ground at ride height. I used Eastwood underhood spray paint. Brushing takes a bit longer but goes on nice and smooth. Cookie Policy -

The factory, of course, applied sound deadener prior to installation of the gas tank. Jason White sprayed 3M No Cleanup High Coverage Body Schutz Coating, utilizing a supplied plastic adaptor connected to a sludge gun. Both products are readily available at paint and bodyshop supply stores. I used Eastwood Chassis Black, overcoated with their satin clear for painted surfaces. I did the same as accobra66 with the truck bed liner spray.

dupli exact I use Dupli-Color, should be available at your local car parts store. The best way to clean your wheel wells is with a power washer. I had the wife's wheels off the other night and didn't really like the look of aluminum and black frame contrast in the rear wheel well. The coating splattered onto the gas tank, which is dealer procedure. I haven't noticed much trouble on the side of the body but much rock and dirt at the backespecially the rear taillights. I'm thinking that painting that black is the way to go but don't know where to start. I did my wheel wells with rubberized coating using a brush. So far I received an award both times it was entered. i have a few of these in stock.
